Have got several shags out of POF but if you are really wanting a proper relationship then I do not think it is ideal!

The most important thing is your photos. Put 3-4 decent pictures on your profile - nothing weird just normal holiday or night out type photos. Other than that, don't write anything in you profile that makes you sound desperate or needy, and try to imply that you have a well paid job.

I found it a very easy site to form 'casual relationships' on. I do know people who have met long term partners on there as well, so it's not all about FB action.
