I always thought Harding was a midfielder.

Think he could still well get pushed into that left side slot.

Hats off to Kerry too. In that programme piece Harding says Kerry has been superb, offering encouragement and guidance all the time. Even after taking his place.

Kerry Mayo - Football genius!

No, I really do not rate John Piercey at all.

And Kerry Mayo may be a better bet than Charlie Oatway (in midfield).

That's not ringing anybody's praises too highly.

I would still play Danny Cullip in front of the back four (attacking centre-half role).

Gawd knows what we can do about the attack without anybody who is not a midget who can play with their back to goal. And nobody any good who can cross with his left foot. Nathan Jones is still the best (least worst).

I very much doubt if John Piercey can play a target man role, so it would be Chris McPhee for me anytime. I might even prefer him to Trevor Benjamin.

Guess that's what makes football such a great game. We all see things differently. I thought that Piercey looked the business against Plymouth and in most of the games where he has been given a run out. Mayo, on the other hand, has I think looked decidedly average this season. All in my humble opinion, of course.

Piercy has looked best though when playing three up front, which I doubt we're going to do today. Although what think you of this...?

Not much. Gart Hart is not in the team.

At least Chippy is in the central midfield role. I would be inclined to play Kerry Mayo alongside him in a 4-4-2. (This would mean Danny Cullip being in the back four.)

And wide right I would always have Gary Hart ahead of John Piercey.

And I believe that wide left midfield should be able to cross with his left foot which rules out John Piercey.

Failing that if either of the two front runners could cross left footed like Bobby Z, the forward could drift wide and then the midfielder could run into the gap. John Piercey could conceivably play in that role .... but his skills are a bit limited?
