It was an odd one, I guess he's saying 'I'll not be hiding this year'.

Why talk about Evans, he's done.
Mystic Stat gives with one hand, takes away with the other.

:lolol:

What a fantastic days racing that was!, all thanks really to Garmin and NSC's finest. Yes there was talk that perhaps Nibs would try a little something on the descent today but personally I thought stage 3 was way too early for any sniff of GC battles.....WRONG! Bloody pleased to be wrong too as that was exciting racing!, even if fantasy wise I got absolutely nothing and Sammy Sanchez came in 5th when I went for Felline over him. Oh well, back to the drawing board for everyone after today I reckon. What a great start to this Giro!

Chapeau Katusha and Paolini! Well played SB too :clap2:

Edit: Forgot to mention all the crashes on the descent. Typical Blanco hitting the deck, but I feel for Scarponi being drawn in with them. He'll be an angry man tomorrow I reckon.

There's no way I was the only one of us to see that coming.
A couple more will be along soon enough.

Bloody he'll! 52 points and it's launched me to the top of the table.

Some seriously low scores all round.
It's not often there's single digit scorers and I'm not one of them.

Did you look further down Pantani got beaten by a girl

Bradley Wiggins GC Sky 23
Michele Scarponi KM Lampre - Merida 0
Samuel Sanchez AR Euskaltel-Euskadi 20
Dario Cataldo AR Sky 0
Willem Wauters DS Vacansoleil-DCM 29
Vicenzo Nibali AR Astana 10
Francis Mourey DS FDJ 0
Fabio Taborre DS Vini Fantini 11
Yuri Trofimov DS Katusha 12
Penalty points 0
Total 105

If this is what you're talking about then quite frankly I'm gobsmacked  That is truly some mystic meg stylee picking to get that many point scorers and from those particular riders on this stage. Would have been more too but for the Scarponi crash and Nibs mechanical in the sprint. Chapeau! :clap2:

I was in the single digit group today with a massive haul of 7 whole points.

You know you've got a right result when you move to the top of the table by getting just 2 point scorers. Fair play on the Paolini pick though, well played.

True. But for my last minute paolini gamble, I'd have been pretty stuffed!

Don't know what to do for tomorrow though, another tricky one!

I'm letting it run, then have a good crack at the next 2 flat stages.

Back to the drawing board for me feeling like I'm frantically bolting the stable door once the horse has already bolted. Picked for tomorrow now and hoping for similar fireworks to today because that was brilliant to watch.

I've got Julian Bernard in the break, but I guess most of you aren't surprised by that

It looked like sleet around some of the course....glasses on, glasses off....gillets on, gillets off....it didn't look a whole lot of fun to be fair. I think I have 10th....and that's it....

That one was bullet like compared to last seasons Tour.

Last seasons Tommy V win was the cycling equivalent of Marcos P chasing the through ball from Vicente.

3rd and 10th from the top 10.
I'm not expecting many more points.
