It was an MBA. And he's Belgian.

As you were.

You were watching that Liam Gallager concert last night weren't you? :lolol:
He's not as good as he was when he was in Blur, but he's not bad for a scouser.

Theatre! I pay a fortune if I want to see a show especially in London.

The West End depends on tourists paying a fortune.

Locals take advantage of last-minute deals, standby tickets, student offers etc. Even Hamilton, the hottest show in town, has a £10 ticket lottery.

Why would clubs risk attracting the type of fan that is more likely to cause trouble.

Fans with less money are money likely to cause trouble? REALLY?!

Not easy to plan a trip though. Some might be happy to get cheap tickets in crap seats for whatever show is available at the time. Personally, I'll pay a little more to know where i'm sitting and what show I'm going to see. Personal preference.

I think most/all of what you are saying is correct.

Perhaps the NFL - massive crowds of monied customer consumers - is the Premier League model.

I'm with the group who would prefer not to go all the way down this full on commercialisation/Gastropub/Theatregoers route and agrees that cheaper tickets are vital in order to maintain a positive part of the identity of top level English football.

Is the NFL a good comparison though. Never experienced it myself but has there ever been atmosphere at a NFL game like there is at football?

As for ticket prices, can't see clubs dropping prices but, with the new deals they may not raise them any more so in real terms they will gradually come down.
