I do love the reasons people come up with for Jake being gash

Would we still have a club if we had kept them?

Do not understand the luke warm affection for Cullip. Absolute top-notch consistent performer for a few seasons.

I do believe someone has suggested we miss Harding more incredible! Must have a love for blond lily livered poor tackling left backs (no not Mayo with his highlights) that can run quickly in a straight line.

As for alleged bollicking of young players, he just bollicked everybody if it was necessary! An excellent Micky Adams signing.

Defence, unlikely. Not a good full back, didn't play much at centre half but not particularly impressive when he did.

He would have been used up front if we had kept him, but I'm not convinced he'd have had the same impact again.

Never said he was crap, but don't think we miss him as much as we miss having a proper left back, be it Harding or otherwise

" We badly missed the first 4 for a variety of reasons. Recruiting Iwelumo would have been controversial given that we had the same type of player in Big Mac. "

Except Iwelumo can actually score goals

I think we badly need someone who can take a corner and a free kick next season. We had Watson in the past and these sort of players can win you a lot of points.

Iwelumo scored 10 for Stoke in his only season as a regular at this level. Where would we be if we had had a 10 goal man this season?

Certainly more impressive than McCammon's career best 7 (in League One).

In my opinion the above is total rubbish. Virgo is an excellent centre back and certainly no worse an option at right back than El-Abd.

And your missing the main ingredient he bought to the team - spirit. We could have done with his leadership and fight particularly with Oatway out for half a season.
