I would go with:

GK Henderson (fingers crossed we can sign Blayney by then)

LB Mayo
RB Reid
CB Butters
CB McShane

LM Knight
RM Hart
CM Nicolas
CM Hammond

F Kazim-Richards
F Turienzo

Subs:

Sub Keeper...
Dodd
Robinson
Carpenter
Oatway

If we want to stay up we HAVE to win against teams like Crewe at home and that means creating chances and not relying on set pieces.

When we are attacking Reid can push up reverting to back three and allowing Hart to push on and hopefully get some decent crosses in for Turienzo, Kazim-Richards and Hammond to get on the end of.

I see your point but i feel that mayo & reid did well getting foreward last night, and so perhaps they should take on a wing back role.

then perhaps bring harty on to wip some balls for the big blokes.

Blayney (hopefully

RB - Dodd
CB - McShane
CB - Butters
LB - Mayo

M - Nicholas
M - Chippy
M - Hammond

A - Knight
A - CKR
A - Turienzo

The argie as the target man and the other two running off him.

Think we should just aim to score more than the opposition. We saw both CKR and Leon can cross so if they drift wide there should still be at leat two in the middle. What do you think? Play with Three centre midfielders, closing, winning the ball and getting it forward?

Too attack minded I'm afraid......

When was the last time we comfortably beat a championship side.....NEVER!!

We've just got to cross our fingers and hope for another 1 nil/2-1

sad but true:(

Good plan Johnners, but if only 3 in midfield, someone would have to come wide, ie hammond on the left etc... this would not allow hammond to get in the box where he is best, arriving late ina lampard/scholes way.

Surely we've gotta have a go at home against a team that is expected to struggle? Not suggesting we play the same way when away to norwich for example, but if you can't attack at home to crewe when can we attack?

Exactley, against crewe we should be able to keep them out when they attack they don't have as much class? going foreward as readsing or derby, so we should go more attacking. put nevertheless stick Alexis on a man-to-man marking job against Vaughan he's good.

Or put it this way. I aint talking about going gung ho!!

MM talks about having adaptable formations. Well if we are struggling or under the cosh that 4 3 3 can very quickly become 4 5 1?

Gotta be worth trying and if our best players are our strikers surely as many as possible should be on the field.
