I've lived in Southend for nearly 12
years now and Unfortunately I have to disagree with your description of the place. The people here aren't the most friendly sometimes, they nearly all drive like twats and it can all be a bit kiss me quick, but a town dying on it's arse it ain't. When i moved here it was pretty much like a crumbling Brighton from the mid 80's only with more burnt out cars. Theres been massive investment the last few years with the whole Thames estuary rejuvenation plan.
But they've still got a shit football team though.
