Durham used to play most of their games at Durham University, though they also played on another ground in Durham city, and at Hartlepool/Darlo etc.

The most curious thing..
John Snow hated it in 1976 - "Cricket Rebel" pp.182-183.
Even then he called it "inadequate" and said twenty years before (presumably in the late 1950's?), when a plan to resite a larger pavillion to the top end was rejected and £35,000 was spent on maintenance of the existing building, that it was "money wasted for the building is unsuitable for the present day"

The only problem is all spectators will have to bring a tent - they might as well camp out rather than wait 6 hours to get away from the ground!
