[former] MP is put in prison for stealing from tax payers.

BBC News - MPs expenses: David Chaytor jailed over false claims

Fingers crossed that the two other former MPs, one current MP and two members of the House of Lords who are due to face separate trials over their expenses claims.

I hope they all get an absolutely shit time in jail, and then, when they get out, can never get another job as long as they live.

Bloody hell Superphil, I thought this was going to be about the referee who awarded that late non-penalty in the Bournemouth game. Very disappointing.

Sadly he's not yet been jailed, but don't fear, as soon as I hear that he has, I'll let you know.

Do we now start a thread on Labour noses in the trough when they were in power?

We could however I am sure it will be Thatcher who is to blame.

Maybe we should start the thread but with that caveat. If she never had the ideal that the rich get richer etc etc blah blah blah

Might be considered polite to wait until they either plead guilty or are found guilty though.

Of course, that would be totally correct, I'll wait. So, if they are found guilty and go to jail, then I wish them every horror that may be bestowed on them, but if they don't go to jail, then justice has been done.

As for Chaytor though, hope he has a terrible time of it, ****.

Lets get things in perspective here, they fiddled their expenses , they deserve punishment, but " I wish them every horror that may be bestowed on them " hardly rapists or paedophiles are they ?

They stole from the people that they were supposed to serve, to represent, to look after, to care for. The people who put them in the position of power and responsibility, which they abused, that is pretty much as low as you can get, they stole from you and from me.

Every horror is the least they deserve, but putting it in perspective, this is the UK, so the horror might be restricted use of Playstations, only one Sky Sports channel, limited access to porn and only a few beers on a Friday night. Let's face it, this is the UK, they won't get murdered, or harmed, but they should get the very worst the British penal system can throw at them. Hopefully he'll go to a jail where they still slop out.

Correct.

Hanged. Meat and pictures are hung. People are hanged. Except me. I'm well hung.

Incorrect.

There is no such thing as being hanged, drawn and quartered. Reason being is that hanged means hanging somone by the neck in order to kill them. The hung part of hanging, drawing and quartering is not intended to kill so therefore it cannot be referred to as being hanged but as being hung.

Sadly he's not yet been jailed, but don't fear, as soon as I hear that he has, I'll let you know.

BBC home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw said Chaytor could be free by the end of May as prisoners given sentences of less than four years can be considered for early release - subject to electronic tagging and a curfew - if they are not convicted of violent or sexual offences

Just far enough away from LDC
He, like many MPs, thought he was above the law. He wasn't and will be punished as he should.

Much of the expenses scandal was. a Storm blown out of proportion but these kind of things are fraud and damages peoples faith in parliament

Understand his en-suite apartment at Ford Open Prison is being prepared and he will be available most evenings at the local if you should wish to buy him a drink
