We'll need to be a premium league side for him to return any time soon. Lets hope Bloom becomes our Al Fayed.

He signed a new four-year deal earlier this season didn't he? Just before he broke his leg. He won't play for Brighton for at least three or four years, if at all.

Well? If Tony & Gus really are serious about competing for the Premier League, he would be a cracking signing and would fit perfectly into our style.

OK, I accept that it is at best unlikely, but is it just about within the parameters of plausability, or will he still be well out of our league this summer (in terms of transfer fee, wages and aspirations)?

What drugs have you been taking?!

Not next season. We should expect a hopefully mid table consolidation season and maybe see what shape we're in in 2012-2013.

Very unlikely, but apparently he has said that he wants to play for Brighton again which may sway things in our favour slightly, but in football even the most unlikely can happen...never say never.

That would be a cracking pairing upfront, Zamora and Balotelli at the Albion. I think it will happen!!!!

Not a chance. Established Premier League striker on the fringes of the England squad. Get real.

Zamora isn't going to play for England again. His chance came and went when he got injured and subsequently missed the chance to impress for the World Cup. There is Bent, Carroll, Rooney, Young etc ahead of him.

Sentiment is no reason to do anything in football and the reality is that IF we are able to consolidate in the Championship and start to challenge to get in the Premiership over the next few years, would we actually want a former star striker back at 32/33?

Whisper it quietly, but we may actually have better - and less expensive - options we have brought on ourselves ...

It would be great to see him in the stripes again of course, but I can't really see it happening even in two or three years' time.
