All nations have a head of state for some it’s political while for other nations it’s purely ceremonial.
We have our Royal family which has a long history as a nation we tried it with out a king in the 1600s and that didn’t go to well so we invited them back and so it remains.
Of the options a none political for life head of state I think is the most preferred having said that I woutdated like to see a vastly slimmed down royalty including the dukes and earls
