To all those who say the Bonzos: they've already reformed (without Viv Stanshall, obviously) and played a reunion gig in January. They were also on Andrew Marr's Sunday show playing Jollity Farm a couple of weeks ago and are on tour in November.

I reckon it's a classic soul band...

The drifters

The Drifters were made up of loads of different singers and there are 4 or 5 bands with one original member doing the rounds as The Drifters.

And they ROCK! :clap2:

The Byrds wouldn't be the same though would they?

Who WOULD be the same? Whoever it is will be a third of a century older and likely to have lost all their youthful vigour. Thus making them only enjoyable to people who have remained in a time warp all this time (yes, there appear to be a few of those posting on here) and whose musical tastes haven't evolved...

The best I can come up with is The Beatles, but that is a bit tenuous seeing as half of them are dead.

It hasnt stopped The Who.

I knew that a few singers had passed through their ranks...didn't realise it was quite so many though!

However, this clearly is the answer to the conundrum....

The 'classic' Moore, Sheppard, Fredericks, Thomas combo who haven't played together since '71! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I think The Byrds would be top of my wish-list.

Probably be something crap like "The Doors without Jim" though...

I can't be arsed to look this up but I think the Doors did make a comeback with two of them, one of them (John Densmore I think) wants nothing to do with the project.

Not a bad call though, their last gig must have been 1971.

Sadly, it won't be Rip, Rig and Panic....

I was referring more to the fact that Gene Clark has been dead 15 years.

I agree though a band that hasn't played together for 35 years as a Glasto headliner is a bit daft.
