Conservatives and Falmer..

I just wonder if the Tories, had they been in power when we were fighting to get Falmer Stadium, would they have granted us the planning permission?

When you consider over 90% of country dwellers vote CONS, would it have been rather more difficult for the Blues to have given the Stadium the go-ahead?

The tories would have never given permission for Falmer, they're all about giving the local people the main say in planning decisions, even though most local people cant form a reasonable argument for and against planning applications. All they see is something being built near them and they go mental. Building anything will be a nightmare under a conservative government. FACT.

one would say probably not... but *if* the Tories had been in power, they'd probably be so with the support of 2-3 seats from Brighton and Hove, so that might have swayed the judgment just as it did for Prescott et al.
