The signs look good for the rest of the season??????????????.
The best we can achieve is staying in Div1,with the possibility of relegation, after ten years of the Knight reign I cannot endure another season out of the Championship

We did conceded four at home in the league three times in 79-80 - first season in Div One; 0-4 to the Arse; 2-4 to Norwich; 1-4 to Liverpool. Then things got better. Can history repeat itself.....

Once the ref gave them the penalty it was all over. Did we have 2 strong penalty shouts which the ref ignored ? MA said that Boyd conned the ref when he looked at it on DVD. Conceding another 4 goals just illustrates the tactics were wrong and when it goes tits up there is no plan B to turn things around.

Boro' were a good side who played very good football which contributed to an entertaining game to watch (and there haven't been many this season at Withdean). However, we didn't have enough nous to break up their play and no change in tactics when we went behind.

Three up front against an attacking footballing side likeBoro was either brave or stupid depending on your viewpoint. Adams gambled and failed - are we in a position to be able to take such risks - no.

We need to start playing players in their correct positions - El-Abd is not a midfielder, Forster is not a midfielder. Teams seem to be able to run through at our defence very easily which is contributing to the high number of goals conceded. It's easy to blame the defence but you should defend as a team and the defence are not getting much help from the rest.

I appreciate the optimism that some of you show but if you take of the blue and white tinted specs you'll see that we have now lost one of our games in hand and are still no further away from the bottom four. If we lose to Carlisle on Saturday then we are still really deep in the mire. The board has backed Adams with the new players but if he, and the rest of the backroom team, cannot get results quickly then a change may be needed or else it will be Brighton & Hove Albion v Burton Albion at Withdean next season.

Keeping possession helps keep the goal tally down...after all they cant score if you got the ball (unless the person with the ball is Hinsh of course).

Defending as a team is one thing....you can aid this by simply keeping hold of the ball. Giving the ball away needlessly and unforced is contributing to our down fall as well. We do this a hell of a lot. Oh, and we need to stop conceding needless free-kicks in and around the box ........ got that El Abd?

Pumping the ball long sends possession into a 50/50 as well.

Basically we need to get some people who can play the game of football and a manager who wants to play a game of football.

That is more justifiable. First season in the top flight, playing Arsenal and Liverpool. But four goals at home to Peterborough, Scunthorpe and MK Dons, should that really happen, and should we just accept it because they are a "good team" It they were that good a team, they would be in the Premiership, not division 3!

Think you'd find that a dodgy penalty decision and losing 3 defenders INJURED had alot to do with it. Seems luck is against us.

we were undone pushing for an equaliser and getting caught on the counter. (which has happened alot this season) - maybe you'd be happier if we settle for a 1-0 defeat in future rather than trying to equalise?
