The club has the choice as far as I understand to offer away clubs as little as 2000. We offered 2500 last season and I don't see that being any different this time around - might be wrong.

FA rules are 10% if your ground has a capacity of 20,000 or less and a minimum of 2000 if the capacity is over 20,000.

A good recent example was City v ManU - 49,000 stadium but away fans only got 2500.

For Cup games the club has to have 15% available to away fans (therefore 4,000), so there are up to 23,500 STs for sale.
we will be offering 2,500 for away fans for league games, so if we sell all STs there will be 1500 tickets available match by match for league games.

100% Correct. Not only will there be the same number of pay per game tickets as last season (when every organised individual could get one, even for Donny), there will be a pool of 5000 less people in the market for one of these as they will now have a ST.

Add to this, the promised ticket exchange, which, judging on no shows last season, could produce anything from 500 - 2000 extras.

Add again, the fact we will have a more flexible away end with the ability to sell more seats here if the away attendance is poor.

The only problem with pay as you go: If you want to attend every home game, then surely the cheapest opition is a ST. If you are not going to every match, then yes pay as you go. Then you have to look at: What if Brighton go up next season, it would then be difficult to get a ticket for big games in the premiership and no doubt a lot more people wanting STs

You're still better off with a season ticket even if you can't make 25% of the league games - assuming cost is the primary motivation.
In addition you also have:
1) 10% discount on concourse and shop purchases.
2) Priority on cup and away tickets.
3) Get some choice in the view, assuming you're organised.
4) You've guaranteed access to an ST for the following season.
