Some info on recently built stadia in the UK, from what I've found ours is the most expensive after the Emirates (and Wembley obviously)

I suspect we've got lots more infrastructure costs than most, along with having to dig into the Downs. Digging downwards costs a fortune apparently.

....and where are all those dots going to sit making their way to the Notts forest ground as it looks full by that picture?

What other direction does one dig ?

:lolol: Fair point.

What I mean is that I suspct that we are digging a lot more than just the foundations you might expect to dig for a stadium on a flat piece of wasteland, what with it nestling perfectly into the South Downs. And all that earth is displaced and needs to be transported somewhere which is expensive.

I am probably talking bollocks to be honest, in which case, carry on.

How much did the Prosar stadium (New Meadow) cost? It must have been more than £15, simply because it is recent - only opened in 2007.

The Brian Clough one looks like one of those cushions that people with piles have.

Doesn't the stadium cost amount to £60 million - the other £30 million is for the road improvements paid for be SEEDA

I love the way everyone bangs on about ours being so unique - when it's clearly going to have most of the same Huddersfield, Bolton and Hull

I do have a soft (?) spot for the Gunners, so I have to say the Emirates looks f**king amazing! (unless you compare it to Falmer of course). In reverse mentality Falmer looks better now than MK Dons Lego stadium, World Cup ground my arse!

If you can build a stadium for £15, good luck to you.

That was sort of my point - the prostar stadium surely should be on the list at the start of the thread. Looking at new stadiums such as the New Meadow and Dean Court mark 2 always makes me feel good about Falmer. For a League one team, we are doing pretty good.

[edit] for info, the new Dean Court cost £6.5 million. I can't find a cost for the New Meadow

 I missed out the word "features" in my original post.

Don't get me wrong, Falmer is going to be MINT, but it's not exactly going to be totally unique as some make out, and chances are another team will knock up plans for a similar ground once it opens.
