The club simply have to go back on the deal, to let him go for such peanuts is mental.

We obviously overpaid for him when we bought him. The manager seen him enough and played him enough to realise he was never going to be good enough if we want to be challenging near the top next year. It's not wise to keep someone who is not good enough and not fair on the player himself to keep him and not play him in this coming season

He and his family are not happy down here and were hoping to go back north in January, but we couldn't get the replacement we were after, so he had to stay, but he acted in a professional manner were a lot of players would have sulked or feigned injury, was a certainty for Sheffield United but that probably changed now that Nigel clough been sacked !!
