How does a significant time lapse excuse gross imoral behaviour, be it by either Thatcher or Blair.

But Mrs Thatcher is not the Tory Leader! She hasn't been for 17 years. You really have to get over her and move on. You might as well say the Liberals are a corrupt and immoral party - look at that business with Lloyd George and the peerages, Jeremy Thorpe with murder plots. That's it, I'm not gonna vote for geriatric Campbell now.

The political landscape that Thatcher was mistress over thankfully died only to be replaced by a far more cynical bunch, Tories, Labour and Lib Dems all included.


And....you haven't answered the question - why bring Mark Thatcher into the equation? His morals, or lack of them, are his business not his mother's. And to even try and compare the Falklands or the 1st Gulf war to the current illegalities is as naive as it is just plain silly.

This shows he is as deceiptful as all previous Tory Leaders.

Why did he not state the truth when he became Party Leader.

f*** - that's it. Crucify him for things he did as a child and is now embarrassed about. Shows a much weaker sense of morals than, say, taking a £1m bribe and changing Acts of Parliament, pressuring the supposedly independant Solicitor General into changing his mind about the legality of invading Iraq. Lying to Parliament in a brazen attempt to coerce them into supporting the war, forcing a man who was recovering from a heart operation to authorise dodgy loans for peerages and keeping it secret from the rest of your party - the treasurer included.

You might just be a tad blinkered with your hatred of all things Tory to spot a lack of perspective regarding the current allegations of dope smoking.
