I thought we won on Saturday by scoring more than the opposition....

oh, and on the Saturday before that....

Just!!!

Imagine if we had 2 strikers on Saturday in the positions that Orlandi and Calderon got themselves into, dont get me wrong, great that they do and Orlandi header first half was a bullet, those last 20 mins could have been really comfortable.

Away from Home, I agree, at home and with the attacking players we have, I would love to see a 442, two wingers and 2 strikers, played at tempo, we would be unstoppable. But in Gus I trust.

I see what you're saying but I would argue that we needed that 5th man in midfield. Having 3 central players frees up the two full backs to advance as, in worst case scenario, Bridders drops back and greer/el abd push wider to cover the gaps left.

Having a flat 4-4-2 would leave us really exposed in my opinion.

Meanwhile, Ipswich are about to secure a move for Lee Camp, anyone else puzzled by this?!

I dont think it would leave us exposed, liverpool yesterday went to 442 from 433 and got right back in it and they were getting hammered with 433. In a relative situation with us, we'd persist with our failing system and lose by more. Our problem is teams have worked us out, they know our system and if its going pear shaped gus just chucks on 3 strikers and doesnt seem to be able to change the game enough to get us back in it?

Practicing in training with a 442 where we add a striker in place of 1 defensive cm with 2 wingers really would give us the plan b we often look like lacking.

I think our current system is ingrained enough, having a worked on alternative when its not working, we're getting battered and heading for obvious defeat would be a bonus. Right now we dont seem to

Probably is the same player. He was in 1901 east. He said he was sure CMS was off. Any way I seem to have attracted a lot of "he's making it up" comments. The player might be wrong but I'm 100% sure that's what he said to me.

Maybe not the same player, I'm pretty sure the bloke my wife was speaking to is in the WS

thing is, we are basing it on how teams set up against us as a 451, yet they would set up completley different if we went 442 knowing the threat of our wingers, meaning we wouldnt get over run in the middle, there would be more space and time for an Orlandi / Vicente to do even more damage. But hey what do we know, we won and thats all that is important, we are all good managers from our PC!!

this at home as I have stated, we have drawn a lot of games at home where as a 442 might have produced a couple more victories.

For what? Transforming us from league 1 relegation fodder into a solid top 10 championship side? So he's made some mistakes, are you so perfect that you've never made a single mistake in a management position?

we should be burying these teams at home ...how many times have we heard this season "if we'd taken our chances we would have been 4 up by half time..??" you can't tell me that the cms experiment so far has been successful...i've said all along if craig had a decent big man along side him he'd be doing a lot better........to my mind we should keep craig makail smith and play him up front with "il cyclone"........the kick up the arse comment was a bit daft i'll grant you.

The es_management with its 23! followers is reporting CMS will sign for Norwich tomorrow. It's good that people are starting to recognise all these twitter accounts are bullshit and not following them and their bullcrap.

It would have resulted in defeats by being overrun in midfield.

dont agree at all, if we go from the off at the tempo we know we can play at, a lot of those games would have been over before half time. Teams cannot cope with that football. its not a science agreed, but it works for 90% of other teams!! look up the A23 and Cardiff, works perfectly well there, and now appears to be working well at leicester, why should it be different for us, with Bridders and Dicker in the middle we would be fine more often than not. away from home have no problem with the system he plays and to be honest I dont have a problem at home, but given the choice would prefer 442.

I agree, not all the chances fall to CMS though as some people think, in fact I would say less than 20% fall to him how many times has Orlandi missed from 5 yeards, Barnes and his woeful shooting boots, I can name at least 5 or 6times, I have held my head in my hands.......
