It was stated by a Palace fan that Albion were talking to Marriapa's agents. As this has never been in the media and Marriapa is a free agent, it was a possibility that the person posting this information could have been a friend of the player.

Sadly I don't think it will. Portland just lost their other starting center half to an injury for the rest of the season.
