BBC Sport - BBC football pundit Steve Claridge signs for Gosport Borough . Anyone thinking he might no longer be giving us his 'enlightened' comments on a Saturday evening will be disappointed as he's still going to be doing the Football League Show.

OK you old'uns, at what age did you actually give up playing the parks? I played till I was 49. Anyone into their 50's?

Finally stopped playing Pitch Invasion (five-a-side) last year at 53. A few of us were going to play Sunday League for a laugh in a real oldies team (no one under 40 allowed), but it never got off the ground. Back problems now mean my retirement is permanent.

I was never much cop mind, but the great thing about being shit is I was just as good a player at 53 as I was at 23!
