Difficult to say if they are on any side. They have an appalling human rights record and they are set to become the world superpower, so we may well be expected to fall into line. Any new superpower is threatening as you do not know what their intentions might be.

China will do what they want, and tell the US to go f*** themseleves if they disagree. I guarantee who ever the US choose to invade next after they get beat and leave Iraq, it wouldn't be anywhere near China.

I don't think they're quite untouchable yet.

I think it's the chinese and Japanese that between them hold huge amounts of the American debt.
