"baptism", really?

That sounds like the worst made-up excuse I've ever heard for people breaking curfew.

Seems a bit feeble...

"Albion defender Gonzalo Jara Reyes has been sent home from the Chilean national squad. Reyes was one of five players punished after arriving 45 minutes late for a 10pm curfew at the squad's headquarters last night.
The quintet, who had been attending the baptism of a team-mate's daughter, also includes Birmingham winger Jean Beausejour."

Interesting that he was out partying with the guy who inflicted his current knee injury.

Wasn't he injured? I thought he was only showing up because he was obliged to be checked out by the chile doctor, and he was expected to be excused from duty anyway?
