Be warned if you are getting the train, they are messed up from Paddington to Cheltenham due to engineering works. As it stands I think you either have to get a bus from Didcot to Swindon and pick up a Cheltenham train there. Alternatively go from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads and change there for a Cheltenham train.
