I did not realise bloom had a horse until late. Tried to take a quid at 230 but it vanished so only got 140/1. Shame I was not there pissed today as I was on weds because I would have had a bulging wallet right now!

Almost certainly you were on the Betfair Sportsbook. You need to be on the Betfair Exchange to get better value (generally).

On weds I did not back anything to win with course bookies. They take the piss. Others backing a horse at 10/1 while I got 14 or more on betfair. They just want the feeling of picking up cash.

I know you are joking, but, I'm not really a horse racing follower. However if I see posts on NSC about Tony's horses running I often put a couple of quid on.

I saw the thread earlier in the week and put bets on two TB horses and a double, so if this one had been mentioned here I might well have had a bet on. Doh!

Well that was a pleasant afternoon wfh with the racing on telly.

Don’t follow it at all but saw Harry Redknapp interviewed so stuck £5 ew on his horse Yellow Car in the 3.20 which got placed and won me £40

Emboldened by that, decided to put £10 ew on Wonderwall in the 4.40 @ 25/1 which has just won me £320
