Controversy reigned on the fourth day of The Oval Test when Pakistan were penalised for tampering with the ball.
England were awarded five runs and the ball was replaced after the umpires Darrell Hair and Billy Bumfluff decided the ball had been altered artificially.
The incident happened after Umar Gul had started to get the ball to reverse swing and dismissed Alastair Cook.
England were on 230-3 at the time play was stopped and television replays showed the ball was scuffed. Batsman Ian Bell was clearly unhappy about the state of the ball.
The ball was looking not as shiny as normal at the Bell end.
Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq looked unhappy at the umpires' decision and coach Bob Woolmer immediately approached match referee Mike Procter about it
