Who would have thought that Saints, Bournemouth and Charlton would all have lost this weekend despite having easy games on paper?

....add to that Colchester only drawing 0-0 at home to Yeovil....and not such a bad weekend after all.

Incidentally, Sheffield Wednesday have played 11 home games (as have Southampton too) to our 9........and we have a good home record this season.

Losing away to the third placed club is nothing compared to some of the home defeats some of our rivals suffered over the weekend. They must be really cheesed off!

Must admit, I don't feel that bad at all at the moment.

I hope so but it would be terrible to miss out on an auto slot due to missing one of our penalties.
Saturday May 7, 90th minute, Meadow Lane, 0-0, we need a win to get promotion, Muzzer goes down in the box, ref points to the spot..............................

True enough but am just taking heart from the fact that while we are stuttering so are most of the chasing teams. If we can just get back to winning ways on Friday...

No thanks, I could not bear to watch, strangely though I do not think Murray will be with us after January..............

The othert results this weekend have cheered me up no end. Be interesting to the League 1 table at this time last year, as it seems all the top teams are dropping points they really shouldn't be

Walsall 58% Possession and a 10-1 corner count!!!!

Charlton 0 - 1 Walsall

Matt Richards hit his fifth goal of the campaign - now his best season's haul
Matt Richards hit a second-half winner as Walsall stunned promotion-chasing Charlton Athletic to climb off the bottom of the League Two table.

A desperate first-half, in which both sides had just one effort on target, left it goalless at the interval.

But, seconds after Paul Benson fired wide with Charlton's first good chance, Richards won it on 69 minutes with a low shot from the edge of the box.

Walsall nearly got a second, Rob Elliot making a great save from Alex Nicholls.

Against a disappointing Charlton, who stay fourth, the Saddlers were well worth only their second away win of the season - their first since August.

While midfielder Richards struck his fifth goal of the campaign, it was also only a second shut-out of the season for Chris Hutchings' side.
