Easier is CJ to Kew Bridge, right next to the stadium, 18 minutes

I used to work near the new ground for many years and travelled there from Clapham Junction daily. It's undoubtable "easier" in terms of distance, but the station is very small and on a stopping service from Clapham Junction.

If you want to go straight to the ground with the crowds that's great. You come out near a lovely roundabout with a B&Q nearby.

The overspill will get on the trundle District Line from Gunnersbury into Central London after the game

Thanks for the advice, but I know which I will go and take in great pre-match beers and toilet / snacks on the way home. If you want to avoid that post match crammed into a train nonsense you get at Charlton / Falmer / Millwall it's easy to avoid via Richmond.
