I know one shouldn't speak ill of the dead, and I'm not sure he qualifies as a "celebrity" but...

Robert Maxwell. Complete and utter ARSE.

On the other hand, Prince Phillip was utterly charming.

Best: Lee Westwood. Top bloke, who was quite happy to be on a corporate do. Amazing what he can do with a golf ball, too.
Worst: Clarkson. As arrogant as you'd expect, and looked down (in every sense) on everyone around him.

One the phone, does that count ?
Phil Collins, utter gent
Patrick Moore, utter w****r (one of the "Do you know who I am ?" brigade)

In the flesh
Nigel Waterson, former Eastbourne MP. pushed mrs H out of the way, she pushed him back and called him twat.
Lord Oliver, absolutely charming fellow.

Honourable mention to Siouxsie, very sweet (Music journos didn't like her cos she thought they were all "freeloading parasites")

Best: Fatboy Slim / Frank skinner (they were sitting together at a table on the beach by the west pier) both lovely. Fatboy slim is a genuine and lovely guy.

Worst: Haven't met many people so hard to think of any... however as a kid in the players lounge spurs had played Sheff Wed and i went to Des Walker and asked for his autograph... he signed and then told us to scram
