You need to sign up and become a member. You can do this by taking ID and filling out a form, but there is a 24 hour cool off period which means you can't gamble straight away. That is my understanding, although as I've never been to a casino I could be wrong

Billy is wrong - those were the old, ridiculously draconian rules.

You should now be able to get in immediately if you have photo ID with you, even if you're not a member.

You might want to call your intended casino beforehand just to check and save a wasted journey though.

Obviously when I am old enough (legal) and have earnt some money which could be afforded to be lost if I lose, but I wouldn't mind to have a NSC meet up for a game of Poker.

Grosvenor Casino (the old ABC cinema)

Walk in with photo I.D. - driving licence - fill in a form have your picture taken, go in and gamble. Open 2pm until 5am I think

Same at the Rendezvous at the Marina.

Sergeant Yorke has burnt down.

You can play poker most nights at both with varying buy-in's.

Be fair it was only last year that this changed. Those rulses even applied to bingo clubs I believe (not that I've been in one).

Can anyone please let me know whether you can just walk into to any of the casino's in Brighton (obviously with ID?) or do you have to be a member?

Rendezvous open until 4am. Grovesnor open until 6am. Brand new 110 odd seater poker room opening at the Rendezvous next week.

Grovesnor have a poker tournie with a £2 buy in on a Thursday night - otherwise, it is at least £10. And they are all rebuys for the first 90 minutes. And, it's 100 times better than internet poker.

Only played at Rendezvous once. It was a saturday £10 buy-in with rebuys for first 90mins then the chance to add-on at the end of the 90mins.

Get a lot of rich types going nuts knowing that if they have to buy in 4 or 5 times it is not a big deal.

I brought in twice, both after bad beats and ended up coming 3rd.

Even if you do not have enough ID to become a member they are allowed to let you in once without being a member.

par for the course. I've cashed 5 times out of 7 visits by playing tight before the break.
