We have been seeded!

The World Cup is well under way in South Africa but if you're passion lies closer to home, then you'll already be counting down the days to the period this week that helps you plan where you'll be for the next nine months.

The Play-Off Finals were concluded little over a fortnight ago and Thursday sees the announcement of the fixture list at 9am on Thursday 17th June but before then we also have the Round 1 draw of the Carling Cup to look forward to.

The draw will be announced on The Football League - LATEST NEWS, FIXTURES, RESULTS AND TABLES | OFFICIAL SITE at 9.30am on Wednesday 16th June.

The highest placed clubs in last season's league tables, Burnley and Hull City, have been given a bye to Round 2 and the remaining 70 Football League clubs go into the draw.

I think I'd have rather not been seeded, looking at all the possible ties we might have got. *Never happy*

We're going to get Micky's lot.

How does Port Vale manage to be in the Southern section? Surely its miles north Nottingham?

It's never foolproof is it, it all depends how many teams there are.

I think Lincoln were in the Southern section of a cup one year.
