For every Brighton fan who is worried about a trip to NP, I'm sure someone like Laughing Bluebird can advise them on which pub/s to go to (and avoid) or even meet people to walk them to the ground

And if you are that bothered about safetly just hang around in the away end until their crowd has dispersed and/or don't wear colours

Don't let the hoolies/little shitty kids win, the team need your support there

The thing is as anyone that has been there will testify, it is getting out of the place. Drinking in Cardiff has never been a problem, loads of pubs in the city centre and some real gems amongst them. The ground is a good mile out of the centre and when you get there, they are happy to have a good at people whether in colours or not. Last time we were in half a terrace and to our left in the seats were the delightful chaps from the Soul Crew and to our right the youngsters. When the final whistle went, everyone was let out at the same time and essentially came out on to the same bit of road at the same time and that is where the problems started. They can from our left and right and the whole thing about normally being left alone if you were not up for it went out the window and they tried to have a go at anyone.

In the end the OB forced most of the Albion fans back into the away end and then baton charged the Welsh up the road, then escorted people back to the car park. The only problem was we were getting the train and had to take our lives in our hands and walk into the city.

If you think it will be a pleasant day you have another thing coming. Actually listen to what those that have been there are saying as they are not making it up. A lot of their fans hate the English and feel it is their duty to try and batter them. The strange thing is even their fans in colours were having a go.

Back in Brighton
Aye, Ninian is always a ropey one.

But i have the fortune (??? ) to have a couple of close mates that are Cardiff fans, so i usually slip out quietly afterwards and back to their car, replete as it is with Cardiff stickers and scarves, with my coat zipped up to the top. Once an old local fella saw right through the disguise and started to congratulate me on our performance- i had to quickly finish the conversatoion and leg it to the car just in case someone else had heard him:blush:..

Previous to that i lived in Swansea, putting everything on even more of a knife-edge. A Brighton fan that called Swansea 'home' would not have been too popular that day... :shootself

Just talking about this very subject the other day. Planning on making trip for the first time, but will go with a big beef cake who'll make sure get to the ground and back alright.

Good luck then.......................... the last time I went, being big and beefey didn't seem to help anyone,....... first all the windows on one side of the 'special' were smashed as we came into the area, and secondly, when we got back on the train afterwards, there were 20 or so bluebisrds that had smuggled themselves on board and kicked off in our carriage then legged it before the old bill arrived in numbers..... scary man.

I'll not be going this season...Ninian Park is FULL of nutters. Regardless of what LB says about it being different now-I'm not risking it after last time.

Walking across the car park we were spat at, called scum (and a lot worse) by parents AND their offspring including seven year old girls???. The police are f**king useless and are nearly as bad as the nutters.

My memories of the Millennium Stadium will stay with me for all of the right reasons-Ninian Park will forever be a place for me to despise thanks to the neanderthals who frequent the place! The fans are as bad:D
