Apologies if this has already been discussed to death on one of the Champions League threads, but I'd just like to point out that Canizares' save from Ballack's header last might, was possibly the greatest save I have EVER seen.

I'd also like to point out that the gap he left at the near post for Essiens goal was big enough to drive an articulated lorry though.

As the bloke next to me in the pub succinctly summed it up ‘That keepers a bag of shite’

Good point - the fact he let a goal in later, makes the first save rubbish.

His first save wasn't THAT good though. Although he gets down quick, its not right in the corner.

It was a pretty firm header, and to dive down yet get the strength on his hand to push the ball over the bar was incredible.

Good save, but not as good as Banks' that the commentator compared it to.

The best save I've seen since that Schmeichel one in Europe (can't remember who it was against), very similar to Banks' one against Brazil.

good save but if header had been into corner it would of been better

Wasn't that good, the ball was quite close to him and about knee high. It only looked good because he put it over the bar. When seaman made that save the ball was behind him
