Boycotting Qatar though...bet you could get a fair few people atleast talking about that one.

Only European players could play in our teams. As I think has been mentioned before, if FIFA tried to ban European players from playing in England, the European Court of Justice would simply strike it down as violating free movement principles and give them an enormous fine for being so stupid. There would even be a case for challenging any order by FIFA to European teams not to play us at an international level.

I dare say a lot of this goes on abroad but their media all less.. zealous.

Missed the point. England fans take tickets to lots of games at world cups of other teams. No other countries do this. But hey what do they know about football fans

erm... USA took more fans to South Africa than we did. don't recall many empty stadiums for the various tournaments england have failed to qualify for.

If you're talking about the standard of play well Russia's record is no better than ours and has Qatar ever made a World Cup Finals ?

Yes but Russia and Qatar began their international story in 1992 and 1970 respectively. England's began in 1872. Comparatively, they are both up and coming nations on the national scene.

Mind you holding in Qatar is suicidal. It'll so hot nobody will be able to run! Still, money can't buy a cool breeze...

If we left fifa our club game would diminish. Only English players could play in our teams as any international players would be banned by fifa.

Yeh, just think how many African and South American players would turn down £100K a week from Man City or Chelski in case it prevented them playing for Somalia or Peru ever again!
