Me and a few mates are wanting to get away but are all on a bit of a budget so decided 5 days in Newquay just to get away from it all was best. Can anybody recommend any campsites?

B&Bs are best, dirt cheap and right in the centre of town so no hiking too and from a shoddy campsite...especially if its pissing down!

You'll be lucky - especially if you haven't booked.

I got a B&B right in the centre 7days before we went in June

Have you tried the suns holidays for £9.50 they had a few campsites around Newquay if you were willing to go in September.

Don't go to Newquay. It's shite and full of private school knob ends being loud and getting drunk on cheap cider and pretending they're surfers. The only reason to go there is to watch them in their £1000 wet suits on their £2000 surf boards bobbing up and down in the water for an hour doing f*** all.

Cornwall has so much more to offer.

May I suggest Hendra. Near town and cheap and clean. With indoor pool and bar.

I go every year.

Hendra

- Been doing Newquay for 15 years and go at least once or twice every year so if you need any advice let me know.

... or another decent one we use to stay at was Holywell bay. But its a bit of a treck into town (about 5 miles), but is a smart campsite with golf course and loads of stuff to do.

I'd say if you're just going for a piss up stay at Hendra as they run buses to town from there for a couple of £££'s.

BLOODY HELL, that place has changed a bit!

I went there with a load of mates for my 21st birthday 26 YEARS AGO.

All I really remember about it is that the cooked breakfasts had more grease than food and that Holsten Pils was 50p a bottle (or was it 2 bottles?).

Anyway, it was f***ing BRILLIANT
