in reading of a financial forum, it was said no lower than 3800 (for technical reasons i beleive) and noone contradicted that. Alan Sugar chose today as the point to buy into Woolworths. Warren Buffet in the US (stock market legend) is buying. Dow closed only 1.5% down in the end
if you have some cash you dont need for the forseable future and want to put it away and leave it for a few years, yes now is a good time to buy up some shares in stalwart companies that people cant live without (think shopping, utilites, pharma and beer). those who like a bet might like the banks who are not nearly as poorly as their share price indicates, but might lose more before they turn. all imho, do your own research etc.
