I think most people would prefer a machine that didn't need to be fixed.

Very good Boz, I was referring to the ones I worked on over ten years ago. The only laptops I wouldn't say that for are Sony's which are overpriced crap IMHO.

id look at the "managers deals" and such in your local Currys. make a note and look it up on the net to make sure its not a complete pup, but there's very good value as they are desperatly trying to move stock.

re pasty's comment, at the end of the day if you get anything with a fault you'll have a bad time these days unless you go to a local independent or pay for home support. either way you pay more... so its a bit of a gamble.
