From the Bristol Rovers official website:-
Bobby Zamora: The former Rovers striker could yet earn his first club a cash windfall
Tottenham Hotspur have said this evening that they have agreed a fee with Brighton & Hove Albion for striker Bobby Zamora, which could net Rovers a significant cash windfall.
The former Pirates forward, who left the Memorial Stadium to join the Seagulls under Ian Holloway's reign, has made nearly 130 appearances for the south coast side, netting over 75 times in the process.
A statement on Spurs' official club website reads: 'The club have agreed a fee with Brighton for striker Bobby Zamora and are currently discussing personal terms with the player.'
A statement on the official Brighton website however seems to urge more caution: 'Albion chairman Dick Knight has confirmed that discussions with Spurs concerning Bobby Zamora are continuing.
'Progress has been made in talks between Knight and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy but an agreement between the two clubs has still to be finalised.'
