Then you've never flown with Air Transat to Canada.....quite possibly the worst airline ever. Plenty of legroom if you're 5 foot 2-taller than that and you can look forward to being scrunched up for 7 hours.

Air Transat was surprisingly good, I discovered. All-leather seats, more legroom than many and the staff were really good. Don't eat the 'food' though - there's no choice, it's revolting and utterly tasteless!

Been with most of the cheap airlines and you get what you pay for so I have no complaints. The one bad airline I have flown with is Delta who seem to be brilliant at smashing up luggage as well as making you miss connecting flights. Best airline for me has been American although I have used Etihad a few nows now and they are very good too.

Virgin Blue in Australia.....the best looking air hostesses I've seen and they weren't rude.
