How times change. How long would it have taken to get out of a car park with 5000 cars I wonder?

Oh happy days.

I wonder how many people realised how unrealistic this scheme was.

No different from Bellotti's later fantasy stadium at Toads Hole Valley, which I remember discussing around a table with a whole load of transport planning colleagues at East Sussex County Council, pondering whether or not we should recommend refusal of the plan straight away, or whether we'd wait until the Club came up with a transport impact assessment and then chuck the scheme out.

We went for the second of these options, but never received whatever cunning plan might have been in Bellotti's mind.
