Because we will most likely need a full back if, as expected, Bruno hangs his boots up.
Do you really think he’s going to hang up his boots? More likely he’ll be released, don’t think he’d ever concede.

Trouble is whilst he’s pinging in a beautifully weighted centre Glenn is still wheezing over the half way line.
I'm comparing the way they play and the job they do for their team. You do realise you're comparing two of the best fullbacks in one of the best leagues in the world to a guy that couldn't cut it in the Championship with Wigan before being moved on to a lower league for £200k?
Last SPL match I watched, Gary Dicker was without doubt the best player on the pitch, playing for Kilmarnock who currently sit 3rd.
Luckily it's in the Mail.
Surely a work permit in the U.K. has already been granted?

In the meantime, would you like a list of PL stars who didn't look that special when playing at a lower level? I'll start with Kane and Vardy - oh, and Virgil Van Dijk came from the Monkey Tennis League too, IIRC........
You've hit the nail on the head in one respect there - 'some kids that could come good' will go into the Lancing Triangle and only ever appear at Eastbourne, Bognor or Cork City ever again!Vardy and VVD were sublime where they came from but I'll grant you Kane to a certain extent. But a late twenties fullback whose already been proven out of his depth in the Championship for £8M, really? I'm certainly not writing off signings from lower leagues, just I'd rather we waste the money on some kids that could come good (That I know we'll never see play outside the U23's) than spunk it on some donkey that clearly won't cut it.
Until we play a more expansive football it's not going to matter what fullbacks we play, with a backs to the wall approach much potential creativity will be stifled.
Just what we need - another freakin' defender.
Hes English.
That would be a big yes from me. There is that point, about ten yards in from the touch line, and five yards short of the 18 yard line, where our full backs (and wingers) stop, turn round, and pass it back to Stephens in our own half - or in the centre circle on a good day.
Watch Alexander-Arnold and Robertson for Liverpool - at that point they ping in beautifully weighted centres from which goals are often scored. Tavernier does exactly the same for Rangers, so yes please for that. The one question mark may be his defending - but we do have one of the finest defensive coaches around, eh?

We have Bruno + 7 other defenders. If Bruno goes we are short of numbers at the back.Just what we need - another freakin' defender.
In a quote free piece of click-bait 90 mins believe the Albion are "ready to offer" for Tavernier.

Owen Says No.
Knowing Rangers they probably still owe money for Murphy and Goldson
