In the Spurs prog it says the replay is arranged for 18 Jan and they have 1000 tickets and you need 5 loyalty points to apply. They give away ticket priority to STHs and the Club Members.

A pal who is a STH and did not get a Spurs ticket had a mtg with K Keeham. I thought our AMS was for STHs and all those that had paid £10. But apprently everbody who went to Cardiff is an away member because of the signed forms. So we have approx 30,000 AMs. Told my mate it won't be done like it again.

You did not need to be on the AMS for a Cardiff ticket.

There are 15000 AMS members (attendance at Cardiff was 28000 btw)

The game was "valued" by Spurs as worth 5 loyalty points in itself, so a miniumum of 31,000 Spurs fans whould have been scrabbling over the 1,000 tickets .

would make our "fiasco" look tame by comparison

Would we have made much money from a replay at Withdean?

Or would it have been roughly the same (or even less as we have to split the gate money) as a league match?

We would have lost money. I believe we were losing money whilst in the LDV last season.

The game would probably have been televised, which would have made money for the club!

Except that we have a fairly sensible loyalty scheme in operation. Away season ticket holders get first dibs. Then home season ticket holders. And the chances of getting a ticket for a game like this would depend on how many loyalty points you have accumulated (based on how long you've been a home season ticket holder and how many away games you go to).

With only 1000 tickets available, club members wouldn't even have got a look in.

McGhee made his feelings pretty clear about a replay a few days before the vital Forest game. No wonder he was pleased to accept that shirt from Keane :lolol:
