Seen it live about 4 times. I love it. Marvellous scenes last time I went at the Dome.

He was on stage giong on about how anyone from the north wouldn't understand the show because it was all about Brighton/Sussex, then asked if any one from oop north was in the audience.

Bloke in audience: "Yeah I am mate"
Terry: "Really? Where are you from"
Bloke in audience: "Hassocks"

Brought the house down

"There's a pier for people to sit on
A pier for starlings to shit on..."
Yeah we should sing that version of 'Bright Eyes' not that dreadful 'passion like fire' one.

"Brighton, dead handy for London
Brighton, Gatwick is not too far,
And everyone sleeps with everyone else
But there's nowhere to park your car
Brighton!"

Sorry to drag an old thread up. But, Mr Garoghan is at the Dome this Saturday night. I do believe some tickets are still available!

I remember Terry from the good old days down the Crocodile Club at the Concorde. That's where the Brighton themed songs first started. Western Road was a particular favourite where he reels off a list of shops - marvellous scenes!

He was great in those days.

'Hi, I'm Terry Garoghan, and I am the MC, which stands for mmmmmm creamy....'

'Hi, I'm Terry Garoghan, which is nearly an anagram of Great Hairy Organ...'

My boss, the great bastion of Sussex business and current Instituite of Directors chairman, once won 'Wanker of the Week' down there. We've still got the photo to prove it.

If you are going to the show the CD's will be on sale there.
I bought the 2 last time I went.
Great evening out.
My favourites include "Rock Gardens Joan", "Madness at the Seven Dials", "Seagulls on our Shirts" and "Goldstone Ground R.I.P."
Shame I can't go to this Saturdays show. Got to go to a barn dance instead.:(
