Sorry, tad picky aren't you, Did sound like 'enough.

A misinterpretation of lyrics can lead to fatal consequences.

I once blurted out the words "LOVE, coupled with a mince pie" to Frankie Goes to Hollywoods seminal classic "War". I was quickly educated to the fact that it was coupled with a mans pride, NOT mince pie, but not before I'd escaped a baying crowd of enraged homosexuals who were falling over themselves to scratch my eyes out.

I vote we do some more Buddy Holly songs. How about (to the tune of Peggy Sue):

Gordon Greer, Gordon Greer
Grittygrittygrittygritty Gordon Greer
Oh Gordon, my Gordon Greeeer
Well he's got a beard and he's Scottish,
Gordon Greeeeer.

It would also sound BRILLIANT if we could sing "we are Brighton" at the normal speed

[yt]Xe8vYjy589s[/yt]

All songs seems so much more powerful when sung at a slower speed.

It would be near impossible to change the speed of a song we already sing.

Im trying to think of songs everyone knows the words too

This is the point. They don't necessarily have to have adapted lyrics as plenty of clubs sing certain songs that are nothing to do with football or their clubs...off the top of my head, Delilah (well only a slightly adapted lyric ), Can't Help Falling In Love With You and so on. To my mind, if hundreds of us are singing, it doesn't matter one bit that it's not a football song, it's all noise isn't it? It does need, however, to be something that your average supporter will know the tune and words to, and that doesn't have too many high notes for you chaps to cope with. It also helps if it has lots of la la la bits, as well as actual words, it appears.

Like Andy Williams' Can't Take My Eyes Off You, or something.

If you were at the F.C United of Manchester fa cup game at the withdean, you may remember this song.

Come on cheer the boys,
Brighton make some noise,
We go wild, wild, wild
Wild, wild, wild.

FCUM are the only team i have heard sing this and with everybody singing it, it sounds amazing and can go on for a few minutes, rather than a few shouts of albion or seagulls. Hope to get this one going.

I would much rather sing something original to the club and not ripped off. It can't be that hard to be slightly creative for a board that can fire out 20 puns a second in some instances

always look at the Brighton side of life?

something by a Brighton band?

I'd be up for a variation of Desmond Dekker's the "Israelites" or Eddy Grant's "don't wanna dance" or "Electric Avenue"

if an ad can do it, sure we can

I know the EXACT song, but it requires that you have heard what the word is, so have you heard what the word is?

Whilst I agree with the sentiment of doing something original you've gotta accept that at the end of the day everyone copies each other in football. There's always a new fad/tune which has different lyrics stuck to it that everyone sings. Eg the current "'Away Town's a shit hole, I wanna go home".

If we get original stuff, brilliant, but if not, this whole we must not copy attitude has to go, or we'll sing nothing but Al-bi-on on loop!

I am 100% convinced that our best Greer option is the "we'll be coming down the road" song. It's scottish and you can easily replace "We'll be coming" with "Gordon Greer". He would love it.

To the tune of Garbage - Cherry Lips (Go, baby, go)

[yt]zy1Y-bWQEAs[/yt]

Go Brighton, go-go!
We're right behind you,
Go Brighton, go-go!
Yeah, we're singing for you,
Go Brighton, go-go!
We're right behind you,
Go Brighton, go Brighton!

Could probably rework a verse or two.

AND something in the style of this Howie B remix would work as Skint/FBS track.
