I'm no football manager but you do have to feel that one top-level striker (scoring 20+ goals) would have given us a top 2 spot.

we seem to have lost our self belief in front of goal at a crucial time so yes - we need new strikers for next season who will take the chance and gamble to follow the ball into the 6 yard box
If we had a Kevin Phillips or a Ricky Lambert in our side we would be ahead of this lot IMO.
