Not great

Any chance we could now get a better keeper in than POke and Brez...unlikely due to our requirements elsewhere

We have 2 competent 'reserves'. Lets not undermine them before they've got their careers established with Brighton.

Oh dear. Never the best injury for a goalkeeper. Is that the sort of thing that can play up for the rest of his career?

Unlikely. Fractured both of mine in my time and I played in goal for years without any problems. Wrist fractures are very common and usually simple. I contrived to completely snap both the bones in my left forearm at one stage and had to have them reset in surgery but it never gives me a moment's concern now.

I assume the goalkeeping was the same high standard we all saw at REMF ?

Ouchie.

I broke my arm when I was about 13 and it still aches sometimes (12 years later). Guess I don't drink enough milk!

Oh far better than that, I have been gracefully retired for about four years now so was a bit rusty then :lolol:

I did heroically fracture the other wrist playing football actually, I believe while making a glorious save from a ferocious shot:D. Did they offer to rush me to hospital? Did they hell, they slapped a bandage on and told me to run around up front for the second half

I broke my finger playing in goal once. I came running off my line to collect a ball, their forward swung a kick at it as I grabbed the ball and kicked my hand. The trainer came on, put my hand in the sponge bag for a few seconds, I put my glove back on and finished the game. It wasn't until I got home and had a bath that I noticed it looked kinda swollen and bent. I was 11 at the time.

Shame....no Brez,no Greer,no Murray!

oh well, that's the spine of the team literally gone for the opening few games.

Wonder who regrets the decision to move on more, Kuipers or the club? Still, yes, Poke should provide adequate cover based on his performances for Torquay.

I hope Poke actually gets to play, we seem to specialise in back up keepers in whom we have no faith and end up getting in loanees.

This. Shame the days of Keeley/Digweed, Digweed/Beeney, Roberts/Kuipers are long gone.
