So, what have we learned from these experiences?

Fool me once, shame on you.........Fool me twice..........?

You seem to be saying that what we've learnt is to ignore all expert advice and just do what we want - is that your view? Sod the expert opinion, sod the evidence (such that there is), I'll just go with what I feel? I can't subscribe to that, sorry. I take on board that a lot of this is opinion (of these 'experts') - I also accept that the economic modelling in many ways shows simply orthodox thinking. I don't, however, think that's a reason for simply ignoring what these pieces of information say.

Exactly. A lot of the usual ignorant hard-right suspects who can't think further from the end of their noses.

Where as there are those from the left that also want out......... and there are those that need their hand holding by the unelected superstate that can't SEE (not think) further than their noses.

Of course, expert opinion is relevant, however that does not mean it is true.

If you think otherwise you are subjecting yourself to a fallacy..........the appeals to authority fallacy to be precise.

https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/appeal-to-authority

Your unequivocal acceptance that all these experts must be right because they are experts would be credible if such experts were always unequivocally correct, I am merely providing examples where experts were in fact wrong.

The EU is riven with such examples, yet some are so bigoted they are unwilling to accept this truth.

As I have said before, some years ago the British public were told by the pro EU "experts" that there would never be a 2 speed EU, however now this is the solution to problems caused by these very same experts.

These problems are largely associated with the introduction of the euro, a project the experts advised us would help unify those countries that would accept it.

We have learned those experts were wrong, because they never had the necessary political and fiscal infrastructure in place.

Other experts pointed this out at the time but they were told they were wrong..........we now can see who was right and who was wrong.

Evidence therefore indicates you are on the side of the liars.

You can say that at any level of democracy when the majority ignore the votes of the minority.

I would rather a majority of peoples from other countries didn't have the ability to ignore or facilitate policy/laws enforceable in this country which are in direct contradiction to the democratic will of this nation, you (and others) do, fair enough.

Says the person fawning over a right wing Chancellors predictions.

You couldn't make it up.

I hate George Osborne but the Treasury are reliable and they are clearly not pulling their punches. The United Kingdom stand to lose a lot if we allow the far-right extremist Brexiters to hoodwink this nation into thinking the grass is greener on the other side!

With some EU states having to accept grinding austerity from an unelected troika, which has demanded mass privatisation of state assets whilst the very same states endure eye watering levels of youth unemployment, I am struggling to understand how opposing the institutions that are imposing this would be politically hard right?

Ignorance truly knows no bounds doesn't it?

We might short term but Britain still has capacity to be Great again,we might have to start actually manufacturing things and who knows we might start exporting more, which creates jobs at the ports and trickles down throughout the nation..

Who knows in 20 years we might actually see on our goods MADE IN BRITAIN again..

Still waiting for Brexiters to produce their own rigorous analysis that Brexit won't cost us billions of pounds. I have reports from the treasury, banks, and the IMF that tell me it's a disaster but strangely nothing from the other side. I guess they're still totting up the numbers.

that's all they want to tell you , what we do know is that we won't have to pay 55 million a DAY tax payers money to the EU if we leave ???
