I asked if anyone could substantiate this - this is just a rumour from another unofficial fans forum source

And funnily enough the first post starts with - "According to North Stand Chat, the Brighton fans' site, we have agreed a fee of £25K for striker Nathan Elder who is discussing terms"

So on here, when asked where the rumour came from I am pointed towards the Brentford site which quotes as getting the rumour from here on NSC

I'm sure this must all be a load of bollocks. There must be 20 Elders playing in the Conference National plus North and South available without a fee.

I've only ever seen him start one game, against Cheltenham in the JPT, and he wasn't worth 25p that night.
