Boat Race

Bank in 1962 I had a bet with a friend at school. He was Oxford and I was Cambridge.

In those pre-decimalisation days the bet was sixpence, and we agreed to double it the following year, and the year after, etc. etc.

By my calculations, today I just won £112,589,990,684,262.00p :clap2::clap2:

Having always liked the light blues for no better reason than their colours, today,s race was a decent sporting event,Oxford called by the 'experts' (?) what do they no ? Cambridge hung in there and never gave up. IS THAT NOT WHAT SPORT ABOUT ?

Beat them at the rugby and both boat races, definitely got the bragging rights for the next year.

A grand race.

Good comeback by the light blues. I have always supprted them as the old man was there and Oxford were a nightmare to live with whilst studying at Brookes.

A lot of snobbery, despite Brookes being much better at rowing.
