Bluetooth Question...

Anyone know what I need to get to make my computer bluetoothed up? And any ideas on how much it'd cost? I've got a G4 iMac if thats of any consequence...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

40 notes on a USB Bluetooth adapter. You definately have USB on that Mac

If its a *recent* G4, such as a WindTunnel or MDD, you can get the Apple bluetooth card but you're looking at 200 quid for it aftermarket. If its old, like a Yikes, no Apple card.

IIRC OSX supports all USB Bluetooth cards that Linux supports, which is most of them. My one had the Window, Tux and the Finder-face on the box anyway....

I think they don't have a Bluetooth option, so its USB for you.

However, it's fairly tricky as I've done it twice.

Yikes = Apple Power Macintosh G4 "Yikes", the orignal blue and white G4, a bitch to work on and damn slow.

The Window, Tux and Finder-face refer to the over simplified "our hardware works with blah" listings on hardware boxes - the Window from the Windows logo, the Linux penguin and the stupid stoner face from Finder in MacOS
